Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations are being conducted with great devotion and grandeur across Nacharam. Under the auspices of the Surya Subhakara Vignya Vinayaka Association in Baba Nagar, a special 15-foot eco-friendly Ganesha idol has been crafted and installed. Crafted using approximately 1,000 leaf plates, this idol is drawing the admiration of devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, artist Surya Prakash stated that they have been handcrafting eco-friendly Ganesha idols and performing special pujas themselves for the past 17 years. He shared that in previous years, they created innovative idols using paper straws, Rubik's cubes, wooden sticks, clay lamps, paper tea cups, biscuit cones, thread, and newspapers. He also noted that an idol was previously crafted with a special theme inspired by Chandrayaan.
The organizers stated that the immersion ceremony will be conducted grandly in an eco-friendly manner following the conclusion of the festivities.
