A court has issued a novel punishment to two young men and another individual in Nacharam. Police have warned that strict action will be taken against those who consume alcohol and create a nuisance in public places.
Ladda Bhanu (29) of Ambedkar Nagar in Nacharam, along with Vamsi Krishna (21) and Abhishek Biswal (20) of Chilkanagar, were booked by the police and produced before the court after creating a public nuisance under the influence of alcohol.
Following the hearing, the judge sentenced all three to two days of community service under the Swachh Bharat program. Police noted that behaving in a way that causes inconvenience to the public after consuming alcohol is not only a personal mistake but also an action that disturbs society. This verdict is significant as it aims to instill a sense of responsibility through community service rather than merely imposing a punishment.
Police advised youth to stay away from alcohol and public nuisances, urging them to act responsibly in public spaces. This sentence sends a message that social responsibility, alongside personal freedom, is the duty of every citizen.
