Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 7: On the occasion of the 102nd birth anniversary of Padma Bhushan Dr. P. Bhanumathi Ramakrishna—a renowned writer, actress, director, producer, and multi-faceted personality—the ‘Vamsi-Bhanumathi National Literary Award 2026’ will be presented to prominent writer, social worker, and gynecologist Dr. Aluri Vijayalakshmi.
The event is being jointly organized by Vamsi Art Theatres, Vamsi Cultural and Educational Trust, and Lekhini Telugu Rachayitrula Mahavedika. It will be held on Monday from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika in Chikkadpally.
Telugu Academy Chairman Prof. Kurapati Venkata Narayana will attend the program as the chief guest. Renowned man of letters Dr. Voleti Parvateesam will preside over the meeting, which will be initiated by writer Dr. Amrutalata. Eminent film director Relangi Narasimha Rao will participate as a distinguished guest.
Dr. Vamsi Ramraju, founder of Vamsi institutions and Kala Brahma Shiromani, will deliver the welcome address. Prominent writer Smt. Attuluri Vijayalakshmi will participate as a special guest, while Vamsi Managing Trustee Smt. Shailaja Sunkaravalli will oversee the event management.
On this occasion, literary figures and writers will speak on Bhanumathi Ramakrishna’s literary and acting prowess, as well as her works such as 'Attagari Kathalu' and 'Naalo Nenu'. A special musical program featuring songs sung by Bhanumathi will also be conducted.
