TRINET NEWS, September 5: Former Minister and Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav has promised to ensure that double-bedroom houses are allotted exclusively to eligible local residents. On Saturday, he visited the double-bedroom housing colony at Banda Maisamma Nagar in Bansilalpet to understand local issues.
When some residents brought to the MLA's attention that they lacked electricity meters, he immediately directed the electricity officials to take necessary action. Likewise, a few people complained that they had not received houses yet. Speaking on the occasion, he recalled that when people were suffering without proper facilities and amenities, former Chief Minister KCR constructed and provided double-bedroom houses equipped with all facilities. He noted that some more houses are yet to be allotted, and he has already written a letter to the Collector to ensure they are given to deserving candidates. He stated that steps would be taken to quickly allocate houses to the eligible.
When colony residents mentioned that shops were auctioned without their knowledge, he explained that the shops were constructed with the idea that the rental income generated from them should be spent on the maintenance of the colony. He added that a meeting with the concerned officials would be held soon.
Kavadiguda DC Pushpalatha, Electrical ADE Durga Prasad, Horticulture Officer Satyanarayana, and BRS party leaders Lakshmipati, Prem, Kumar Yadav, Faheem, Ranjith, Abbas, Vinay, Sai, and others participated in the meeting.
