Telangana BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao was once again placed under house arrest by the police, preventing him from traveling to Nalgonda. Following allegations that Congress workers attacked and vandalized the residence of Nalgonda District BJP President Nagam Varshith Reddy, the state BJP chief planned to visit him to express solidarity. To stop this, Osmania University police placed Ramchander Rao under house arrest at his residence in Tarnaka.

Ramchander Rao strongly condemned the police action, expressing immense anger that he had been put under house arrest for the second time within a week. He recalled that previously, when students were agitating for the resolution of their issues, he was blocked from meeting them, and now he was being prevented from visiting the party district president whose house was attacked.

Ramchander Rao criticized the Congress government in Telangana for systematically suppressing democracy. He stated that imposing police restrictions to prevent leaders from standing by opposition members, students, party workers, and victims of political attacks is unacceptable. He slammed the Congress party's dual standards, pointing out that while they display the Constitution in one hand, they trample upon democratic rights while in power.
