The role of Dadavai (weighing) workers in the agricultural marketing department, which is linked to the state's economy, is crucial, assured INTUC National President and former MP Dr. G. Sanjeeva Reddy. He stated that efforts would be made to pressure the government to resolve their legitimate demands and ensure minimum wages.

Demanding the resolution of Dadavai workers' issues, the Telangana State Agricultural Marketing Dadavai Union (INTUC) held its state convention on Tuesday at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad. Dr. G. Sanjeeva Reddy attended as the chief guest at the convention, which saw the participation of nearly 1,500 Dadavai workers from all districts across the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. G. Sanjeeva Reddy said that Dadavai workers are entitled to minimum wages, PF, gratuity, ESI, health insurance, and other benefits similar to government employees. He promised to bring their issues to the attention of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for a speedy resolution. He emphasized that problems can only be resolved if Dadavai workers fight unitedly, assuring that INTUC stands by them to secure their dignity, recognition, social security, and job security.

Mogulla Raji Reddy stated that the demands of Dadavai workers, who ensure fair weighing for farmers, are justified. He added that under the leadership of Dr. G. Sanjeeva Reddy, they will take the issues of better working conditions, adequate wages, job security, and the implementation of welfare schemes for Dadavais to the attention of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao for a swift resolution.

Y. Naganna Goud said that the demands of the Dadavai workers in the agricultural marketing department are legitimate and that as per law, minimum wages, PF, gratuity, ESI, and health insurance can be implemented for them. He announced INTUC's full support for the struggle for the rights of Dadavai workers.

The event was attended by State Minimum Wages Board Chairman B. Janak Prasad, INTUC State Senior Vice President Mogulla Raji Reddy, State General Secretaries Y. Naganna Goud and V. Bhaskar Reddy, Vice President S.A. Jalil, Secretary Nalla Sanjeeva Reddy, Agricultural Marketing Yard Chairmen Rangareddy, Satish, Anand Rao Patil, and Agricultural Marketing Department Deputy Director Ravi Kumar as guests. Union President and General Secretary S. Surender Reddy, N. Ravi Kumar, and state leaders B. Veeranna, Sanjeev Kumar, Sudarshan, and Devender also participated.
