Hyderabad, Nacharam, Trinet News, September 4: As part of the ongoing protests organized by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) alleging that the Congress party's Revanth Reddy government has cheated the people of Telangana during its 1,000-day rule, BRS leaders of Nacharam and HMT Nagar divisions, Sai Zen Shekhar and Medala Mallikarjuna Goud, organized a street-cooking (Vanta Varpu) protest on the road near UK Cineplex on Friday.
Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy attended the program as the chief guest and participated in the street-cooking protest. Speaking on the occasion, he criticized the Congress party for coming to power by making six guarantees and 420 promises during the elections, and currently causing severe hardships to the people of the state.
He alleged that on one hand, the government is terrorizing poor and middle-class people by demolishing their homes in the name of HYDRA. On the other hand, he said, properties belonging to people who have been living in houses for decades are being placed on the 22-A prohibited list, causing immense distress.
MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy warned that the people would soon teach a fitting lesson to the Congress government, which is causing hardships instead of fulfilling the promises made to them. Former corporators Devender Reddy, Prabhudas, Srinivas Reddy, and other BRS leaders and activists participated in the program.
