AMBERPET, TRINET NEWS, AUGUST 31: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy unveiled the official logo of the newly formed Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) on Monday at the Amberpet Stadium. Designed to reflect the corporation's unique identity, urban development, public services, and future vision, the logo will serve as the official emblem of the MMC.
As part of the urban administrative restructuring undertaken by the Telangana government, the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation has been established spanning an area of 654 square kilometers. The corporation is divided into three zones—Malkajgiri, Uppal, and LB Nagar—comprising 14 circles and 74 wards. In February 2026, the government set up the administrative framework by appointing T. Vinay Krishna Reddy, IAS, as the Commissioner.
MMC officials are focusing on providing better civic services to the public, alongside sanitation, roads, drainage, greenery, urban planning, and infrastructure development. Officials stated that measures are being taken to develop the corporation into a modern, clean, and green city through public participation and coordination among officials. They noted that the unveiling of the logo by the Chief Minister stands as a milestone in the administrative history of the MMC.
