Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 15: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that he has high regard for the Aga Khan Foundation and praised its crucial role in restoring the state's heritage. He noted that the Legislative Council building was recently restored with the foundation's cooperation.
CM Revanth Reddy met with Prince Rahim Aga Khan V at the Taj Falaknuma Palace. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister recalled that the foundation had successfully restored the Qutb Shahi Tombs and mentioned that plans are underway for the rejuvenation of the Musi River. He requested the Aga Khan Foundation's assistance in restoring the historic City College and Osmania Hospital buildings located along the Musi river basin.
The CM stated that a new building is being constructed in Goshamahal for the Osmania Hospital, while the existing hospital building is intended to be preserved as a heritage structure. He explained that the Musi River is being developed to promote a night economy and invited Prince Rahim Aga Khan V to attend the upcoming Telangana Global Summit.
He informed the Prince that the Telangana Global Summit will be held in the Future City on December 7, 8, and 9, with delegates from over 100 countries participating. The CM stated that the government is working with the goal of increasing Telangana's share in the national GDP to 10 percent by 2047.
The Future City is being built across 30,000 acres as a net-zero city, located just 20 minutes away from the airport, the CM added. A Singapore-based company is designing the master plan for the Future City, which will feature a 15,000-acre green zone. Revanth Reddy also revealed that global organizations like Amazon have already commenced their operations in the Future City.
