Chilakalguda, Trinet News, September 1: Chilakalguda police came to the rescue of two elderly women who were in a helpless state. They displayed immense humanity by not only identifying the missing persons but also safely reuniting them with their family members.
On August 31, Balamani and Govindamma, who were found wandering within the Chilakalguda police limits, were first provided shelter at the Dream India Home. Subsequently, police made inquiries to trace their families based on their details and photographs. The police's efforts bore fruit. Govindamma's family members received the information, arrived at the police station, identified her, and took her home.
Meanwhile, Balamani's family members, who hail from Vikarabad, saw her photograph in the newspapers and contacted the Chilakalguda police. After verifying the details and confirming her identity, the police brought Balamani from the Dream India Home and handed her over to her relatives.
Acting on the instructions of Inspector Valishetty Ramakrishna, Head Constable Pusa Srinivas took special initiative to ensure that both women were reunited with their families. Relatives, who were deeply anxious, expressed their gratitude to the police after safely seeing their loved ones back home. Locals appreciated the initiative and affection shown by the Chilakalguda police in this incident.
