Tarnaka, Trinet News, September 3: Telangana Students Union State Vice-President Gaddam Praveen Kumar has demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the irregularities and malpractices in the allotment of B-category (management quota) seats for the 2026–27 academic year in private autonomous engineering colleges, and the immediate cancellation of illegal admission ratifications. Following this, Gaddam Praveen Kumar addressed a press conference organized at the Arts College in Osmania University. Student union leaders alleged that several private engineering colleges are violating Government Orders (GO Nos. 74, 75, and 49) as well as the B-category admission guidelines issued by TGCHE on 24-06-2026. They stated that poor and middle-class students who secured good ranks in JEE Main and TG EAPCET are being subjected to injustice.
They urged officials to immediately initiate an investigation into allegations that seats meant to be allotted on the basis of merit are being sold for hefty sums. Furthermore, Gaddam Praveen Kumar demanded that an inquiry be conducted and legal action taken against individuals using the name of the Osmania University JAC to threaten college managements.
The event was attended by Theigala Shivakumar, Prashanth, Ramakrishna, Ramesh Naik, Praveen Reddy, and others.
