Student leaders staged a protest near the OU Arts College, raising slogans against the government.
Osmania University, Trinet News, September 12: BRSV and OU Madiga JAC jointly organized a protest at Osmania University on Thursday, strongly condemning the demonstration held by Congress leaders at former Chief Minister and BRS supremo KCR's farmhouse.
Led by BRSV State General Secretary Kompalli Naresh and OU Madiga JAC Chairman Busipaka Ganesh Madiga, students held a rally on the Arts College premises, displayed placards, and raised slogans against the government.
Speaking on the occasion, Kompalli Naresh and Ganesh Madiga stated that it is improper to exploit Dalit and Madiga issues for political gains. They strongly condemned the protest held with 'chavu dappulu' (funeral drums) at KCR's farmhouse. They recalled that a large number of Dalit and Madiga students had actively participated in the Telangana movement following KCR's call. They noted that during KCR's tenure, several Madiga student leaders were given political and state-level positions.
The student leaders warned that if such incidents recur, they would retaliate severely through democratic means. They stated that protests would continue under the auspices of the Dalit Students' Joint Action Forum.
BRSV State Secretaries Konda Ganesh, Gangadhara Venkat, Arjun, Gopi, Sai, Saikiran, Raghavendra, and others participated in the program.
