Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 7: Tension escalated near the Telangana Assembly on Saturday after police intercepted BRS MLAs and MLCs who arrived wearing black T-shirts to stage a protest. Police objected to their attire and blocked them from entering.
Following the police objection, MLA Harish Rao and other legislators attempted to enter the premises by removing their T-shirts and remaining in their vests. Meanwhile, BRS MLA Sunitha Lakshmareddy broke down in tears at the assembly entrance, expressing anguish over what she termed as high-handed behavior by the police.
Police subsequently arrested Harish Rao along with Uppal MLA Lakshmareddy and shifted them to a police station.
