BRS betrayed Dalits for vote bank politics: HR Mohan.. Congress government is providing political and social respect to Dalits..

Nacharam, Trinet News, September 19: TPCC official spokesperson HR Mohan alleged that BRS has betrayed Dalits by failing to fulfill promises made to them. Speaking at a press conference held in Nacharam, he stated that in the past, Dalit leaders such as Rajaiah and Kadiyam Srihari faced injustice regarding deputy CM and ministerial posts. He criticized BRS for failing to implement the promise of making a Dalit the Chief Minister.

HR Mohan said that Dalits are receiving political prominence under the current Congress government. He noted that entrusting key responsibilities to Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, along with ministers and other public representatives, is a testament to social respect. In the wake of controversy surrounding remarks allegedly made by BRS MLC Tatha Madhusudan targeting Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, he advised respecting constitutional posts. It also came to light that Tatha Madhusudan had clarified that he did not speak targeting the Speaker.

HR Mohan referred to allegations that Erravalli farmhouse was purified with turmeric water after Dalits staged a protest there. He stated that the Congress government is taking steps to protect the self-respect of Dalits. He welcomed the statement made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the Assembly regarding government lands in Erravalli. Mohan said the government is striving to provide opportunities for Dalits in political posts as well as IAS, higher education, and universities.

HR Mohan stated that self-respect is paramount for Dalits and that their community stands by the Congress government. He called for a constitutional struggle for the problems and rights of Dalits.
