The Bonalu festival was celebrated with utmost grandeur and devoutness on Sunday in the New Maruti Nagar and Satya Nagar areas under Kothapet in Hyderabad. Under the leadership of Sri Tulasidas Goud, the Bonalu festival has been continuously organized in this area for the past 25 years. On this occasion, a large number of devotees offered bonam to the Goddess and performed special prayers from morning till night.

Starting Sunday morning, numerous devotees flocked to the festival from New Maruti Nagar, Satya Nagar, and neighboring areas. Women dressed in traditional attire, balancing bonams on their heads, reached the Goddess's temple to the rhythm of traditional drums and auspicious instruments. Devotees offered bonams to the Goddess and prayed for the health, wealth, and happiness of all their family members. Beautifully decorated with flowers and colorful adornments, the Goddess's temple deeply captivated the devotees. The entire area buzzed with a spiritual atmosphere due to the heavy rush of devotees. Devotees participated with immense enthusiasm in the prayer rituals that continued from morning till night. After having darshan of the Goddess, many devotees expressed satisfaction upon receiving her blessings.

On this occasion, local residents specially appreciated the services of Sri Tulasidas Goud. Many noted that it is commendable to continue this tradition by organizing the Bonalu celebrations without any interruptions for the past 25 years. Locals stated that beyond just organizing festivals, he has connected closely with the people by carrying out numerous social service activities in New Maruti Nagar and Satya Nagar. Sri Tulasidas Goud has earned a distinct recognition by giving special priority to social, cultural, and sports activities. Notably, serving as the organizer for the Maruti Shuttle sports event, he has maintained the tradition of conducting annual shuttle tournaments. Many commended his efforts in fostering sportsmanship and encouraging the youth.

This year's Bonalu celebrations were conducted grandly in a festive environment. Local residents, youth, and women participated in large numbers and contributed their part to the success of the celebrations. Organizers took measures to ensure adequate arrangements for everyone during the festival, preventing any inconvenience to devotees.

On this occasion, local MLA Sri Sudhir Reddy and former corporator expressed heartfelt greetings to the residents and devotees of New Maruti Nagar and Satya Nagar for the Bonalu festival. They stated it is heartening that the people of this area organize the Bonalu festival with unity and devotion. Locals lauded the services of Sri Tulasidas Goud, who has brought special recognition to the New Maruti Nagar and Satya Nagar area by continuously organizing the Bonalu festival—a symbol of Telangana culture and traditions—for the past quarter of a century. Devotees prayed that the blessings of the Goddess always remain upon all the people and that the region progresses with peace, harmony, and development. With the blessings of the Goddess, the Kothapet Bonalu celebrations stood as a symbol of devotion, tradition, and unity.
