Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 07: Former Mayor and BJP State Vice President Banda Karthika Reddy was placed under preventative house arrest by the police at her residence in Tarnaka, following the party's call for a march to the Assembly demanding the immediate release of pending fee reimbursement dues.

On this occasion, she strongly criticized the Congress government. Karthika Reddy stated that the police denied permission for a protest program at Indira Park, asserting that the BJP will always fight on behalf of the people. She alleged that even though it has been three years since the Congress came to power, many of the six guarantees and 420 promises made during the elections remain unimplemented.

She slammed the government for boasting and spending crores of rupees on publicity campaigns under the guise of celebrating 1,000 days of rule. On the other hand, she expressed outrage that the government is playing with the future of students by failing to clear pending fee reimbursement and scholarship dues. She questioned what answers the government would give in the Assembly regarding the issues faced by nearly 40 lakh students in the state.

Karthika Reddy demanded that the government has the responsibility to answer for the students' problems, and if it fails to implement its promises, those holding charge of the education portfolio should resign from their posts.
