Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 19: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has suggested that the uniforms provided to students should be in more attractive colors. The CM directed officials to explore variety in the designs.
On Saturday, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy held a review meeting regarding the distribution of uniforms and other materials to students. Officials informed CM Revanth Reddy that the distribution of the first pair of uniforms to children in government schools, government hostels, and residential schools has been completed this year, and the second pair of uniforms will be distributed by the end of the month. They stated that two pairs of uniforms have been provided to students of KGBVs and Model Schools. The distribution of notebooks to all students has also been completed.
Officials explained to the CM that the distribution of plates, glasses, bowls, spoons, cups, carpets, bedsheets, and towels has been completed for all students in government hostels, residential schools, KGBVs, and model schools.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy ordered that an action plan should be formulated right away so that uniforms and other materials are provided to students on the very day schools reopen next year. Since there is a possibility of a 10 percent increase in student enrollment compared to the current strength, plans should be made accordingly, he said. The CM noted that parents have expressed satisfaction regarding the quality of the uniforms and other materials provided this year.
The review meeting was attended by State Government Advisor P. Sudarshan Reddy, MP Vem Narender Reddy, CM Principal Secretary Sridhar, CM OSD Vemula Srinivasulu, and various departmental officials including Sabyasachi Ghosh, Bala Mayadevi, Ahmed Nadeem, Divya Devarajan, Naveen Nicholas, Shruti Ojha, Saidulu, Santosh, and Sita Lakshmi, among others.
