AMARAVATI, SEPTEMBER 5, TRINET (AP): Stating that employees are an integral part of the government and that the administration will always stand by them, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today announced several crucial decisions to resolve the pending issues of government employees. The Chief Minister held discussions with employee association leaders today and made key announcements, which left the association leaders highly satisfied.
Key decisions and agreements include:
- Agreement to constitute the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC).
- Payment of two pending Dearness Allowances (DAs) starting October 1, 2026.
- Release of DAs due from July 1, 2024, and January 1, 2025.
- Agreement to credit the surrender leave amounts for the year 2022 into employees' accounts by the upcoming Sankranthi festival.
- Payment of an additional surrender leave to police personnel on the occasion of the upcoming Dasara festival.
- Implementation of additional pension amounts starting January 2027. Pensioners aged above 70 will receive an additional 10 percent pension, while those above 75 will receive an additional 15 percent.
- Streamlining of the Employees' Health Scheme (EHS). Starting next month, the government will make monthly payments to the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust.
The decisions announced by the Chief Minister will place an additional annual burden of Rs. 2,880 crores on the government exchequer. The Chief Minister reiterated that the government will continue to work for the welfare and well-being of employees while taking practical measures to resolve their problems.
