HYDERABAD, TRINET NEWS, SEPTEMBER 22: Raids are reportedly underway at the residence and associated locations of NIMS Additional Superintendent Dr. Nori Lakshmi Bhaskar in Hyderabad. Officials are inquiring into details regarding his assets and financial transactions. Official details are expected to be released once the searches are completed.
Dr. Lakshmi Bhaskar, who has been serving as the Deputy/Additional Superintendent at NIMS Hospital for the past five years and has spent 20 years in various roles within the institution, has once again brought his past controversies into the spotlight. A nearly Rs. 2 crore land dispute case from previously (noted as 2025 in records) involving a doctor from Rajahmundry has resurfaced around him. At the time, a cheating and intimidation case was registered against Dr. Lakshmi Bhaskar at the Banjara Hills Police Station in connection with this matter. Such serious allegations against an official holding key responsibilities in a prestigious medical institution had caused a sensation previously.
Rs. 2.7 Crore Land Dispute (2025): Dr. V. Sriramulu from Rajahmundry was allegedly deceived into paying Rs. 2.7 crores under the pretext of getting a plot in Banjara Hills MLA Colony at a lower price. Following court orders, Banjara Hills police registered cheating and criminal conspiracy cases against him for threatening the victim when the registration was canceled and the money was asked to be returned.
Covid Bed Irregularities (2021): During the second wave of corona, allegations surfaced that Rs. 1 lakh was collected through a middleman named 'Prashant' to secure a bed for a patient at NIMS. An internal inquiry revealed that the admission took place upon the recommendation of Lakshmi Bhaskar.
Nampally Court Old Cases (2018–2019): Cases under Section 420 (Cheating) and 406 (Criminal Breach of Trust) were registered against him in the Nampally Court regarding certain private financial transaction disputes, for which he had obtained a stay from the High Court.
