Traditional dance performances blending devotion, music, and dance captivated audiences at the Swarnagiri Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple.
Organized by the Vagdevi Vadya Sangeetha Kala Nritya Samskruthi Samstha under the title "Swarnagiri Sri Venkateswara Swamyki Nritya Pushpanjali," the special cultural event was grandly held in the temple premises. Several dance artists showcased their talent in this program, which was organized with the resolve to offer artistic devotion to Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Artists mesmerized the audience with traditional dance forms, devotional performances, rhythmic steps, and expressive gestures. Amidst the spiritual atmosphere of the temple premises, the dance performances greatly entertained the devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, Vagdevi Vadya Sangeetha Kala Nritya Samskruthi Samstha President Nagendra Yadav stated that Indian traditional arts are symbols of our culture and heritage. He noted that everyone has the responsibility to encourage classical music and dance arts, as well as introduce their importance to future generations. Nagendra Yadav shared that their organization is constantly striving to preserve traditional dance forms from fading away and to foster interest among the youth. He said their main goal is to provide platforms to bring out the hidden talents of children and young artists. By encouraging artists, the cultural and artistic heritage of India can be further expanded, he noted.
He stated that temples continue to remain hubs not only for spiritual centers but also for traditional arts such as music and dance. Organizing such dance events on temple stages adds spirituality to the arts and increases awareness among youth regarding traditions, he explained. Nagendra Yadav revealed that in the coming days, the organization plans to conduct more cultural, musical, and dance programs under their auspices. He mentioned that initiatives will be undertaken to provide opportunities for talented artists and offer due respect to dance gurus.
Various dance items presented by the artists stood out as a special attraction of the event. Performances set to devotional songs, along with the artists' expressions and rhythmic movements, received appreciation from the audience. Later, the organizers grandly felicitated the dance gurus who are serving the art field by teaching traditional dances. They honored them with shawls and mementos, appreciating their services.
