'Swaraneerajanam', a rare musical concert in memory of S. Janaki and S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, was held at Ravindra Bharati, Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 27: Paying tribute to the 'Nightingale of South India' S. Janaki and 'Gana Gandharvudu' S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, a magnificent 12-hour musical concert was organized by the prominent organization Rishi Musical Events on Saturday at the local AAA Studio.
Around 35 prominent male and female singers participated and entertained music lovers by singing over 100 rare cinematic songs originally rendered by Balu and Janaki. Telangana's first Legislative Assembly Speaker and MLC Madhusudana Chari, renowned comedian Babu Mohan, Telangana Department of Language and Culture Director Dr. Enugu Narasimha Reddy, Horticulture Assistant Director and HMDA officer Donepudi Chakrapani, prominent singer Trinath Rao, Medidi Venkateswara Rao, and Devulapalli Prabhakar Rao participated as chief guests for the program.
Speaking on the occasion, they praised that thousands of songs sung by Balu and Janaki will remain permanent in the hearts of listeners, and even though they are not physically among us, their sweet musical wealth remains immortal. During the program, renowned playback singer and hero Sandeep was felicitated by Janaki's close relative and Mitra Events organizer Sri Hare Ram, amidst the guests and in the presence of music fans.
Venkat, Uday Bhaskar, Y. Subramanyam, Chandrasekhar Gorthi, and Govindacharya participated and made the program a successful one. The guests congratulated Akkiraju Yogitha Prabhanjan, the head of Rishi Musical Events, for organizing such a wonderful program.
