Hyderabad, Chikkadpally, Trinet News, September 28: Renowned journalist and humor avadhani Sankara Narayana's latest poetry collection, 'Lions Satakam', was unveiled at the Kala Subba Rao Kala Vedika in Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. The event was organized by Gana Sabha with the support of the Department of Language and Culture.
Attending as the chief guest, Gana Sabha President Kala Janardhana Murthy released the volume and spoke on the occasion. He appreciated Sankara Narayana for serving as a journalist in prominent daily newspapers and, in his retired life, contributing his thoughts to society through literary forms. He explained that 'Lions Satakam' portrays the social service activities undertaken by the Lions Club in a poetic format. He also recalled that Sankara Narayana has so far written fifty satakams on various subjects, primarily focusing on devotional and spiritual themes.
As a formal gesture, Sankara Narayana dedicated the volume to prominent dental surgeons Dr. Chandrakanth and Padmaja. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Chandrakanth praised Sankara Narayana for his profound ability to present any chosen topic to readers with clarity and in a simple style. He recalled that Sankara Narayana had previously dedicated two satakams to them.
Censor Board member Buchi Ram urged Sankara Narayana to continue writing works focusing on social issues as their core theme. In his remarks, Sankara Narayana stated that his ultimate goal is to write a hundred satakams on various subjects. Dr. Ketharaju Kameswara Rao participated as a guest in the event.
