'Padavoyi Bharatiyuda...' grand film musical concert held under the auspices of Kinnera Art Theatres on the occasion of Akkineni's 102nd birth anniversary.
Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 22: The 'Padavoyi Bharatiyuda...' Akkineni film musical concert, organized by Kinnera Art Theatres to mark the 102nd birth anniversary of Dadasaheb Phalke Award recipient, Padma Vibhushan, and Nata Samrat Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, was held grandly on Tuesday.
Held in the evening at the Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika in Chikkadpally, Hyderabad, prominent singers mesmerized the audience by rendering memorable songs from films starring Akkineni. The songs, which brought back the sweetness of old-school film music, received an overwhelming response from the audience.
Former District Judge and Supreme Court Advocate Sri Nerella Malladi attended the event as the chief guest. Film science expert Sri S.V. Rama Rao participated as the guest of honour. The program was presented by Sri Y.S. Ramakrishna.
On this occasion, speakers recalled the distinctive services rendered by Akkineni Nageswara Rao to the Telugu film industry. They stated that with his natural acting, discipline, and dedication to the art, he remains an inspiration for generations. The musical concert, filled with well-known songs from Akkineni's movies, captivated the attendees from beginning to end.
