The grand glimpse launch event of young and talented hero Sri Nandu's upcoming movie "Kasu" was held on Saturday evening in Hyderabad, with star producer AM Ratnam attending as the chief guest. Indhukumar plays the female lead in this movie, which is being produced by Indhu Kumar and Narendra Konda under the banner of AKR Dream Pictures LLP, with P.S. Harshavardhan directing it. The film is gearing up for a grand release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages.
Speaking at the event, VFX Supervisor Akhil said, "VFX has a major role in this movie. The story revolves around themes of greed and morality. We received complete support from the producers while working on this film, and the visual effects will deeply impress the audience."
Editor Srinivas shared, "This is my first movie as an editor. I read the entire script, and it is a very good story. I am confident that this movie will appeal to everyone."
Music Director Prashanth R. Vihari stated, "This is a film that takes Telugu cinema a step further. I have contributed as much as I could musically for such a good project. This is my second film working with Nandu, and it will bring a great name to the entire team."
Producer Narendra Konda mentioned, "We are showcasing a beautiful love story in this film. Our director Harshavardhan has engagingly portrayed how greed over money can create problems in the relationship and love of a couple. Hope, greed, love, and obsession with money—combining these human emotions, how the story takes unexpected twists forms the backdrop of 'Kasu'. All elements in the story will captivate the audience. Do not compromise on filmmaking until you are satisfied. When I was producing my first film 'Kartavyam', I wasn't satisfied after shooting the climax. I felt a police officer arresting culprits isn't enough, we need to convey something more to society. I brought the writers back, reshot the climax, and it became a huge national-level blockbuster. '7G Brindavan Colony' started as a small film in my career, and people still call me about it; it's a cult, epic movie, and we are making its sequel now. I have produced big films, but I treat every film like my first, and I advise you to do the same. Don't just think a film has turned out well—keep working on it until it turns out great."
Heroine and Producer Indhukumar expressed, "You will soon realize how our movie 'Kasu' turns out and how it does justice to its title. I am a girl from a village who knew nothing about society. Starting as an anchor, I am standing before you today as a producer and heroine. My father is the one who rejoices in everything I do, which is why I named our banner after him. When I was eager to do something beyond anchoring, Harshavardhan narrated a story, and we launched the banner immediately without a second thought. I consider our producer Narendra Konda garu as Lord Venkateswara. People say Nandu chooses strong stories, but in this case, the story of 'Kasu' chose him. There is another hero in this story, which is the 'Monster', and our VFX supervisor Akhil has tried to portray it brilliantly. Every update from our film will mesmerize you."
Hero Sri Nandu said, "I thank our director Harshavardhan for trusting me and giving me the character of Jai in this film. I am happy to see myself as Jai in a world like 'Kasu'. After 'Dandora' and 'Psycho Siddhartha', this is the biggest-budget film in my career. Our producers are trying to make it technically brilliant and I thank them for sparing no expense on quality. People who don't know how to earn money often post on social media that money cannot buy happiness. We do need money for our loved ones and necessities, but we shouldn't obsess over it to the point of falling sick. What happens when money becomes a disease is what 'Kasu' is about. While entertaining, the film delivers a strong psychological message. The theme of greed lingered in my mind for two days after hearing the script and changed my perspective. I hope the audience experiences the same. Top actors from various languages are part of our cast, and we strongly believe you will all love it."
